Shrinkflation
Reducing product size to maintain prices ~ which is only temporary. Ultimately, the price will increase on the smaller product.
Paying the same, but purchasing less.
This was been happening before 2020. Ice cream went from 1/2 gallon to 56 ounces. Potatoes went from 10# to 8# bag.
If this was temporary, would there be a new word describing it?
